We got Patsy’s engagement ring back from our amazing jeweler today, and it is everything we could have hoped for.
The diamond belonged to my great-great-grandmother, and it is really wonderful that we were able to have a new heirloom made from something with a long family history.
I’m having her make a ring for me as well, using itsy-bitsy diamonds and some little sapphires.
Yeah, we’re too cutesy for our own good, but while we were away Patsy and I got ourselves rings with blue opal.
Eventually I’d like to really do a _good_ ‘product-shot’ image of these – this one has some issues with the lighting and the black background, marks and dust that I am too lazy to retouch out – I’d rather just shoot it again the right way…
This is another from yesterday’s wedding – the bride and groom holding hands just after the service. I love how the hands are a little bit soft, with the flowers sharp in the foreground.
