It has taken years, but it looks like my peonies are finally starting to bloom for real. This white one was one of the first this year, hidden behind our rose of sharon. We’ve got some pink ones, both double and single, that look like they’ll bloom in the next couple of days as well.
I found a used Leica 45/2.8 macro for cheap for my Oly EP3 and I was playing around with it in the garden yesterday after work
We planted four rose bushes last year. Two didn’t make it through the snow, but the remaining two have these stunning pink blossoms, and they’ve been blooming for months now.
I was thrilled with the dahlia in the backyard from the other day, but this one in the front yard puts it to shame – it is so big that I can’t even fit the whole bloom in the frame!
My garden is really starting to bloom, and I even have hope for my semi-doomed peonies this year. This is one of the best daffodils to bloom so far, but there’s tons more buds on the way I think.
My garden is doing great! Here’s a passion flower and the insides of a rose of sharon. More tomorrow.
