Black-eyed susan?

Is that what these are? I always thought so, but I also thought that black-eyed susans were a vine, so I’m puzzled. Pretty in any case.

  1. It’s a black-eyed susan (rudbeckia). One variety, at least. There is a vine called ‘black eyed susan vine,’ but it’s just commonly called that because the small flowers are yellow with black centers, so it resembles the REAL black-eyed susan.

    btw, agree on netlibrary (that’s how I found this post). I work for Recorded Books (@recordedbooks on twitter). They’re a bit of a pain (not speaking for the company, of course!).
